Join us for this excellent opportunity to learn first-hand how  Central Florida hospitality properties are demonstrating leadership through sustainable operations and for insight into the Orlando | Destination Green Program, one of the Chapter's most exciting and ambitious advocacy efforts to date.  The Orlando | Destination Green Program is a partnership between the USGBC CF Chapter and the Orlando Orange County Convention and Visitor's Bureau aimed at fostering a true green tourism and convention destination right here in Central Florida.

Orlando Florida is known around the world as the top hospitality destination for family vacations, large scale conferences, and business meetings. According to the Rosen School of Hospitality, the Greater Orlando area is the destination for over 49 million tourists each year, has over 400 hotels with 120,000 rooms, 5,000 restaurants, millions of square feet of convention and meeting space, and 75 theme parks and attractions, making hospitality inextricably connected to nearly every aspect of the Central Florida economy. Hospitality venues and support facilities also make up a substantial percentage of our region's existing building square footage and ongoing construction activities.

In keeping with its commitment to be THE source for green building education and outreach in our region, the Central Florida Chapter's Hospitality Advocacy Initiative was launched in early 2009. The Orlando | Destination Green Program was formally announced at the 2010 CF Chapter LEEDership Dinner.
